For years the Idaho Fish and Game Department has been given access to use the property to set traps as part of the national migratory bird banding effort.

In 2013, 215 Mallards, 52 Cinnamon Teal, and 10 Greenwing Teal were banded on the property.

In 2014, 217 Cinnamon Teal, 87 Mallards, 16 Greenwing Teal, 8 Wood Ducks, 1 Pintail and 1 Bluewing Teal were banded on the property.

In 2015, 364 Cinnamon Teal, 146 Mallards, 57 Greenwing Teal, 22 Wood Ducks, 5 Pintail, 5 Gadwall, and 1 Bluewing Teal were banded on the property.

In 2016, 193 Cinnamon Teal, 174 Mallards, 167 Greenwing Teal, and 46 Wood Ducks were banded on the property.

In 2017, 11 Greenwing Teal, 1 Bluewing Teal, 64 Cinnamon Teal, 2 Pintail, 14 Wood Ducks, and a whopping 743 Mallards were banded on the property.

Since 2021 we no longer grant access to Idaho Fish and Game to band on the property.
